MVP's Description:

The Resistor is part of a new slower family of fairway drivers with a more controllable speed. The combination of its flat overstable profile and GYRO™ technology allows it to resist turn and experience a strong reliable fade. The Resistor excels at pin-point fairway throws.

The stability I was looking for

The glow resistor was a little too beefy for me, and this resistor is what I was looking for. Nice.

Not as overstable as the numbers, but still great!

I was originally disappointed with this disc because I expected it to be more overstable than it was. It has a great hand feel, sporting the same shallow profile as the other 6.5 speed discs in the MVP/Axiom lineup. Recently, I realized that this is a great disc for straight-to-fade lines and hyzer lines. I would describe it as an overstable teebird or a shorter Axiom Wrath with a little more fade.
(If you want a super overstable disc, pick up the eclipse resistor! It's a great compliment to the neutron model. I currently bag both.)

Great Overstable Fairway Driver

I love this disc for big backhand hyzer shots or straight to fade power forehands. I live at 10,000' elevation where discs fly way more overstable than at sea level. Even up here, this disc isn't too much of a meat hook. The high glide helps keep it pretty straight for about 50-60% of it's flight with a nice, steady fade at the end. It also keeps pushing forward instead of dumping out. As a forehand disc, it flies straight for 60-70% of the flight before fading out with great forward push. It's a great headwind disc for long upshots. Highly recommend this disc to players in the intermediate to advanced level. For slower arms or beginners, it's probably a touch too overstable.
